Phoenix Transportation Safety Expo

We were happy to be a part of the 1st Annual Safety Expo put on by the Phoenix Transportation Department on October 27th. Despite the miserable weather they had a higher turnout than they expected. In addition to our bus they had four other buses, two firetrucks, a snowplow, an ambulance and other safety displays. It was a fun event and we look forward to next year.

Touch A Truck Event in the Valley News

The Valley News had a very nice article had a very nice article about the Touch A Truck Event that we participated in. The event was hosted by the Hannibal Home and School Association.

Participants got a chance to climb on, in, around, and over many vehicles, including a Hum-vee from the U.S. Army, a grader from the Town of Hannibal Highway Department, a dump truck, school buses, and several firefighting apparatuses from the Hannibal Volunteer Fire Department.

One vehicle in particular stood out because of its unique appearance- a school bus that was cut in half with the back half of the seating area turned 90 degrees sideways. This vehicle is used as a training device by local fire departments, law enforcement agencies, school districts, and other emergency responders to practice emergency evacuation drills for a bus roll-over.
